Frequently asked questions

How long for delivery of a websale?

If we have the item in stock this should be 24 - 48 hours nationally. If the item has to come from a supplier or is on back order we will let you know an approximate eta. Your credit card will not be charged until we dispatch your order .

Your prices are cheap are these Cameras parallel Imported ?

No, All our products are brought through the official New Zealand distributor, this means you have a full manufactures  warranty and full back and and support available right here in New Zealand.  , We are new Zealand's largest specialist photographic retailer with stores nationwide, our buying power means great deals, great support all backed up by an official NZ warranty.   

Do you do finance?

Yes , We offer finance and leasing through Finance Now and Flexi Rent We also accept Qcard&Farmers card. You will need to arrange this in store - please bring a couple of forms of i.d.

Do you clean or repair cameras? how long do they take?

We can send cameras out for repair and cleaning. There will be a deposit for non-warranty equipment and most repairs take around three weeks. We don't take in older equipment that our suppliers no longer repair.

Do you sell Polaroid film?

Polaroid brand film was discontinued, it will be coming back next year so don't throw out that 600 or SX70 camera just yet. 

Do you sell duty free?

All our cameras are duty free and the only tax is G.S.T. If you find a cheaper airport price let us know as we can usually match it.

Do you sell gift cards or gift vouchers?

Yes - you can purchase any denomination in store or $25, $50&$100 over our website. At this stage you can only redeem vouchers in-store but we are working on an online solution.

Do you ship overseas? how can we pay?

We do - you will need to pay by bank transfer rather than credit card. Please contact us if you need details.

Can I buy an extended warranty?

Yes - these are available in three or five years. If you type 'IUG' into our website search bar this will show the options.

Do you rent equipment?

Yes, if you type 'Hire' into the website search bar this will show you our range of rental equipment. Please contact us to ensure availability.

Do you sell parts?

Yes, We have a large range of accessories. Spare parts for cameras, tripods etcetera often have to be ordered and the importer/repair agent may insist on fitting the item.

Do you develop film?

Yes, we develop colour print and transparency film at several of our branches. Black and White film we send out for processing.

Do you take photos? do you sell photos?

We only take passport photos. If you need a portrait taken or want to purchase an existing photo either do a websearch or look in the Yellow Pages under 'Photographers' or 'Image Library' respectively.

Do you take passport photos?

Yes we do - these are $19.90 for 8 images to NZ standard. We can also do foreign sizes - it's handy if you bring in the requirements when you come to the store  (a surcharge may apply if we are not setup to do the size you require ).
