FUJI FINEPIX F80 EXR 12mp 10x EXR CCD

Fujifilm is pleased to announce the FinePix F80EXR, an updated EXR model with a new high resolution 12 megapixel Super CCD EXR sensor, 720p high definition video capture, exciting new features and a larger high contrast LCD screen. Introduced last year with the FinePix F200EXR, this radical new approach to sensor technology has been met with rave reviews and numerous awards from international industry organizations such as EISA and TIPA. The FinePix F80EXR sports the latest 12 megapixel version of the EXR sensor, offering even higher resolution than its predecessor whilst still offering class-leading dynamic range and low noise/high sensitivity options.

Despite its pocket-friendly size, the FinePix F80EXR's 10x zoom lens offers a hugely versatile 27-270mm range (35mm camera equivalent) from wide-angle to telephoto. From sweeping landscapes, interiors and large group shots to distant sports or wildlife action, the FinePix F80EXR opens up a world of photographic possibilities you can carry with you wherever you go. The FinePix F80EXR's Dual Image Stabilisation mode combines a mechanically stabilized CCD sensor with high ISO sensitivities for total anti-blur protection.

The FinePix F80EXR features a high resolution HD movie mode (720p) with sound, and the camera's micro HDMI output allows you to easily display ultra clear high definition photographs and movies on high definition televisions.

New for the FinePix F80EXR is Face Recognition Technology, which takes Face Detection a step further by allowing users to register the faces, names, birthdays and category of up to 8 of their friends and family in the camera's memory. When shooting groups of people, the F80EXR can be set to prioritise focus and exposure on faces (up to five) that it recognises, even displaying their names on the screen as the photo is being composed. In playback mode the FinePix F80EXR's sophisticated new Image Search feature allows users to search for specific people by name or category.
