The all new SEL2470GM2 exemplifies the stand-out optical performance of Sony's G Master lenses. Adopting advancements in autofocus and operability the 24- 70 GM II is a substantial upgrade from the mark I in every way. A completely redesigned optical path features five aspherical elements, including two high-precision XA (extreme aspherical) elements, while also including two ED (extra-low dispersion) plus two Super ED glass elements. Combined with a new floating focus mechanism, the 24- 70 GM II effectively controls chromatic aberration, astigmatism, distortion and coma so that outstanding resolution is achieved throughout the image at all focal lengths and aperture settings.
