Hawke Optics Universal Balance Plate
Use this Hawke Optics Universal Balance Plate to adjust the balance of your spotting scope for increased stability and to relieve undo stress on the tripod head. One end of the plate attaches to the head with a 1/4"-20 socket, and your spotter mounts to the plate using a 1/4"-20 thumb bolt.
The bolt is able to slide along a track on the plate to precisely balance the scope on the tripod, and when it's in the proper position, a lock-nut tightens against the bottom of the plate to set it in place. This is an ideal accessory for spotting scopes with large objectives which tend to be front-heavy as a result.
