An ultra-wide with an especially portable design, the Sigma 15mm f/1.4 DC Contemporary is a strikingly compact and fast prime lens with a huge field of view.

Ideal for landscapes, interiors, architecture, and astrophotography applications, this is a maximalist lens with a minimalist form factor.

Speed and Sharpness

Designed for use with APS-C-format cameras, this lens offers a 24mm-equivalent focal length.

  • Ultra-wide field of view pairs with a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture to suit working in low-light conditions and for controlling depth of field.
  • Optical design includes FLD and SLD glass elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and achieve high color accuracy.
  • Three double-sided aspherical elements control distortion and spherical aberrations, as well as help to promote high sharpness and reduce the overall size and weight of the lens.
  • Optical design prioritizes edge-to-edge sharpness and reducing sagittal coma flares, even when shooting wide open.
  • Lens flare and surface reflections are also well-controlled to suit working in bright, high-contrast environments.

Compared to the 16mm f/1.4 DC Contemporary, this 15mm f/1.4 is 30% shorter and 50% lighter in weight—this lens measures 2.6" long and weighs about 8 oz, compared to the 16mm f/1.4 that measures over 3.5" long and weighs over 14 oz.

Suitable for both photo and video recording, the compact, lightweight, and balanced design makes this an ideal option for gimbal-based shooting and vlogging applications.
