The Sigma 50–120mm F2.8 DC OS Contemporary is a compact telephoto zoom designed for Fujifilm X mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. Covering an equivalent focal length of 75–180mm, it offers a versatile range for portraits, events, travel and everyday photography. The constant F2.8 aperture provides consistent exposure throughout the zoom range, with excellent control over depth of field and the flexibility to work in lower lighting conditions.

Weighing approximately 390 g and measuring just 9.9 cm in length, the lens offers impressive portability without compromising on performance. Sigma's HLA high-response linear actuator delivers fast, precise and quiet autofocus, making it well suited to moving subjects and video recording. Reduced focus breathing also helps maintain a consistent composition when adjusting focus during filming.

Optical Construction

The optical construction incorporates 18 elements in 13 groups, including FLD, SLD and aspherical glass elements to minimise aberrations and maintain sharpness across the zoom range. An 11-blade rounded diaphragm produces smooth, natural background blur, particularly useful for portrait photography.

Built for regular use, the lens features optical image stabilisation powered by Sigma's OS2 algorithm, offering up to 6.5 stops of compensation at 50mm and 4.5 stops at 120mm. Dust and splash-resistant construction, together with a water and oil-repellent front coating, provides additional protection when photographing outdoors.
