Around 30% lighter and 20% shorter than its predecessor, this updated version features an assignable AFL button, focus mode switch and an aperture ring that can be clicked or de-clicked for smooth video work. Its water- and oil-repellent front element and dust- and splash-resistant build make it a rugged companion outdoors.
Inside are four double-sided aspherical elements and one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element arranged in 17 elements across 13 groups. This advanced design ensures clarity edge to edge, minimises colour fringing and controls flare and ghosting even in backlit situations.
