The Nikon Z50 II brings some of Nikon’s latest technology into a compact DX-format camera that’s easy to carry and ready for both photography and video. Built around a 20.9MP APS-C sensor and the powerful EXPEED 7 processor, it offers fast performance, impressive subject detection and plenty of room to grow within the Nikon Z system.
Autofocus Technology
Autofocus technology inherited from Nikon’s higher-end Z cameras recognises nine different subject types, with dedicated bird detection and improved Eye-Detection AF helping keep moving subjects sharp. Continuous shooting reaches up to 30 fps in supported modes, while Pre-Release Capture can record moments from up to one second before the shutter is fully pressed — particularly useful for wildlife, sport and unpredictable action.
Video Capabilities
For video, the Z50 II records 4K up to 60p and Full HD up to 120p, with internal 10-bit recording, N-Log, Product Review mode and recording times of up to two hours. A fully articulating 3.2-inch touchscreen makes front-facing shooting easy, while the brighter electronic viewfinder provides a clear shooting experience outdoors.
Twin-Lens Kit
This twin-lens kit gives you an especially versatile starting point. The compact NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm F3.5-6.3 VR covers an equivalent 24-75mm range for everyday photography, travel and portraits, while the NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm F4.5-6.3 VR extends that reach to an equivalent 75-375mm for wildlife, sport and distant subjects. Both lenses feature built-in Vibration Reduction for steadier handheld shooting.
