The Z5IIC features a 24.5MP FX-format CMOS sensor, EXPEED 7 processor and a low-profile design without an electronic viewfinder, with composition centred around its 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen.

Built-in 5-axis sensor-shift VR helps keep handheld images steady, while 273-point hybrid autofocus and continuous shooting at up to 30 fps provide the speed needed for moving subjects and spontaneous moments. For video, the Z5IIC supports 4K recording up to 60p, Full HD up to 120p, internal 12-bit N-RAW and 10-bit H.265 recording, making it equally capable for stills and video creation.
