Celestron Origin Mark II Intelligent Home Observatory - Telescope
This intelligent home observatory combines advanced optics with AI-powered imaging and smartphone control, allowing easy capture of celestial objects with professional clarity, effortless setup, real-time image enhancement, and seamless sharing, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced astrophotographers.
Features
The Celestron Origin Mark II redefines what a home observatory can be — an intelligent, all-in-one telescope that brings together advanced optics, AI-powered imaging, and seamless smartphone control. Designed to merge stargazing and astrophotography, Origin Mark II transforms your backyard into a personal observatory, capturing galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters with professional clarity and ease.
Revolutionary Optical System
At its core is the revolutionary 6" Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA) — an ultra-fast f/2.2 optical system trusted by professionals for its sharp, wide-field performance. Paired with the next-generation Celestron Origin 678C Camera featuring Sony’s Starvis 2 CMOS sensor, the Mark II delivers crisp, detailed images in near real-time. Intelligent algorithms enhance your photos as you shoot, without altering your data, ensuring every image remains authentically yours.
Effortless Setup and Control
Setup is effortless thanks to StarSense technology — the telescope aligns itself automatically in minutes. Controlled through the Celestron Origin app powered by SkySafari, you can explore the universe from your phone or tablet, select celestial objects, and watch them appear on-screen in full colour. Share live views with friends, cast to your TV, or save your astrophotography masterpieces directly to your device.
Features for All Skill Levels
Built for both newcomers and experienced imagers, Origin Mark II grows with you. From its integrated filter drawer and automated dew prevention system to advanced features like scheduled imaging, RAW data saving, and equatorial wedge compatibility, it’s a complete astrophotography studio in one intelligent package.

Solar Warning
- Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.
- Never use your optic to project an image of the Sun onto any surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the optic and any accessories attached to it.
- Never leave your optic unsupervised. Make sure an adult who is familiar with the correct operating procedures is with your optic at all times, especially when children are present.
