The Panasonic Lumix S1 II with Lumix S 40mm f/2 Lens combines Panasonic’s high-speed full-frame hybrid camera with a compact, bright prime lens. Built around a 24.1MP partially stacked full-frame CMOS sensor and L2 Engine, the S1 II delivers impressive speed, autofocus performance and professional video capabilities for photographers and filmmakers alike.

The S1 II offers blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 70 fps with AFC, along with 779-point Phase Hybrid AF and intelligent subject detection and tracking. Its 5-axis in-body image stabilisation provides up to 8 stops of compensation, while the 96MP High Resolution mode provides additional detail when required.

Video Capabilities

For video, the S1 II supports 6K 30p Open Gate, 5.1K 60p and 4K 120p recording, together with V-Log, V-Gamut, Dynamic Range Boost and Real Time LUT. Dual card slots support CFexpress Type B and UHS-II SD media, while the free-angle tilting touchscreen and high-resolution OLED EVF provide flexible monitoring for both stills and video.

Included in this kit is the Lumix S 40mm f/2, a compact 144 g full-frame L-Mount prime with a natural 40mm perspective. Its bright f/2 aperture provides useful low-light performance and depth-of-field control, while focus breathing suppression and micro-step aperture control make it a particularly good match for the S1 II’s hybrid photo and video capabilities.
